Chaplet of Saint Anthony
St. Anthony of Padua is also known as St. Anthony of Lisbon.
Saint Anthony of Padua (1195-1231)Franciscan, Doctor of the ChurchFeast Day: June 13Patron Saint of: Lost things, poor, travelers, miracles, healings, protection, and purity.
A traditional St. Anthony chaplet only has a chain space between the groups of 3 beads, and the chain space is where the the mystery is prayed. However, I have seen some chaplets that have included a small bead in the chain space as a cue to help one to remember to pray the mystery. In this chaplet, I have included a small bead in the chain space as a help to remember to pray the mystery.
Why pray to a patron saint for intercession? Because prayers are considered more likely to be answered by praying to the patron saint for a request that the saint is considered a patron of.
